Hooray for Independence

Oh Canada! and a Happy Fourth of July Blog Hop

In honor of Canada Day and the United States' 4th of July celebrations,
The Stamping Boutique is having an all-inclusive
Patriotic BLOG HOP

It all starts at THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE, so head on over
MIRANDA
JEANNIE
COLLETTE

I made a banner for my front door today!
I used the Eagle Image from The Stamping Boutique
and several new SVG Cut files from DtsArt.

The banner under the eagle is half a rosette.
Normally, I would make two of these and stick them together to make a round rosette, but I wanted the blue behind his head,
so I cut a circle to round out the background
for the two eagle end pieces of my banner.

and close ups of each panel in the banner:

It's tough to take a picture of a window without being IN the picture,
so if you look close, you can see ME! (-:
In fact, if you click any of the photos
you can see them in a bigger version! (-:

This is two of the SVG Cut files together.
The Patriotic Hat and the Land of the Free Sentiment.
The white panel of the hat is embossed with Sizzix Diamonds.
The star on the "L" is from the cutout on the hat.
All the blues are painted with Aquamarine Creative Inspirations paint
and have a really nice, deep shimmer.
The "of" is highlighted with Diamond Stickles.

This photo is such a disappointment to me!
This panel of the banner, in real life, is so shimmery and pretty.
But here, it just looks blotchy and streaky!
The SVG Cut file is called "Peace Love USA" from DtsArt.
The Peace sign is Diamond Stickles.
The stars on the heart are the cuts from the US Flag on the next panel.
The USA is embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots.
The blue base and the heart are spritzed with Pearl Shimmer Mist.
Up close, it's SO pretty and I hate this photo!

This is the US States and "Home of the Brave"
Again, I combined two of the cut files.
The blues are Aquamarine Creative Inspirations paint.
The "of" is Diamond Stickles.
The star on the "H" is an off-cut from the hat.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

This was a super-fun project and I'm so happy to be part of this
Stamping Boutique Blog Hop!

And just a quick little note:
the ENTIRE SET of SVG files that I used for this project
are ON SALE at the DtsArt Store!
For ONLY $2 you get
all 3 patriotic shapes and 2 titles!!
for ONLY $2

thru our hop this weekend!

favorite of the entire hop!!
