THIS is what I call INSPIRED!!

Hello my blogging friends!

As I'm sure all of you know by now, my Grandmother found her place in Heaven last Monday!! While we are sad to say goodbye, we are also celebrating the rich, full life she shared with us!

Last Monday was also my youngest son's 10th birthday, so we tried to explain to him that Grammy chose his birthday because he is so special to her, and that he now carries a piece of her soul with him!

It's hard to think about a funeral and birthday cake on the same day!

I received this video in my email the other day and it only takes about 2 minutes, but I have watched it probably 10 times (or more) and it brings tears to my eyes every time!!

Like the lyrics to the song in the video: "We will never be the same"!!

So today, no crafty projects to share, and no links to other "crafty" stuff, but I wanted to share this video with all of you and I hope you feel inspired to create freely...

Just once, I'd like to throw splatters of paint on a canvas, smear it around with my bare hands and end up with a true masterpiece!!!

Love to you all!!

Stacie

Spring Has Sprung...or has it...?

Hi all my crafty friends!

The calendar tells me that Spring is "officially" here, but I'm starting to wonder... it sure has been COLD the past few days! We've had frost warnings for 2 or 3 nights in a row!

Yes, I just moved back to PA from North Carolina, but isn't frost warning NOVEMBER weather, like, right before it snows??

I have Spring-on-the-brain and can't wait to start digging in the dirt and planting flowers at our new place!

Of all the things I miss most about our place in NC, I think my garden and huge yard is highest on that list!

This week, our WEEKLY challenge at The Stamping Boutique Challenge Blog (yep, in case you missed it, we've gone to WEEKLY challenges now!!) is:

PASTELS

Somehow, I managed to cut out my image at some screwy crooked angle, so the cart looks all askew! As I was heading out the door to go to work, there was no time to get a "do-over", so, it is what it is, right? Gives it that "home made" "hand-crafted" look... LOL!! (-:

I'm still learning how to do print and cut with my new Eclips, and you should SEE the paper scraps strewn about my craft room and I kept making simple, silly mistakes! Auck!! But I'm getting it! I just have to pay attention better and stop trying to rush...

The image is from The Stamping Boutique, the background paper is a freebie from the Making Handmade Cards Newsletter, the shape around my cart is from Penny Duncan, the font for the sentiment is "Blackjack",  the swirl/flourish is my SVG version similar to the DieNamics Fancy Flourish, ummm... that's about it!

There are lots and lots of Spring, Easter, and Birthday challenges this week!!

Scrap-Creations, Birthday
Paper and Such, Spring and Easter
Sassy Cheryl's, Soft Pastels
