We are already on Challenge 16 at Digis With Attitude!
16 weeks, already? Four months? WOW!! Time is FLYING!!
The challenge this week is:
"Red and White" OR "Pink and White"
I guess I don't follow instructions well, because I used Red, White AND Pink... oopsie!
Winter Diva Tween is still available for FREE!!
You can pick her up HERE!
For my project, I used the Brand NEW SOON TO BE RELEASED
Valentine's 'Tween! You'll see her pop up in the shop SOON!!
I used all kinds of goodies for this card, so I'm going to use a format I see often in other blogs... I'm just going to list all the ingredients and you can go visit the links if you'd like!
So here we go, my first "ingredients list":
Image: Digis With Attitude! Valentine's 'Tween (not yet released)
Coloring: Paint.NET (thank you Cheryl for the tips on encouraging me to color images digitally, it's actually pretty fun!)
Glitter for shoes and headband: plain ole' regular red glitterglue
Red and Pink card stock: ProvoCraft Designer Slab (from my friend Cheryl's Candy)
Embossing for pink paper: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Folder
Hearts Glittered Paper: Martha Stewart
Heart Scrolls and Corners: Images by Heather M
Embossing for hearts: my new heat gun (YAY!!) I got for Christmas (thanks to MIL) and Stampendous Red Tinsel embossing powder.
Tri Fold Shutter Card SVG Template: Penny Duncan's Creations
Blank white shape on inside panel for a spot to write is just a scalloped rectangle I made in Inkscape.
I LOVE the way this card turned out!!
I owe SO MUCH to my Design Teams!
They really have inspired me in so many ways and I think this card is the perfect example of that!
I look back over some of the cards I've posted over the past year and I wonder "What was I thinking?" and I realize that I have learned SO MUCH!
Color coordination, design, layout, embellishment... it's really all starting to come together!
I guess I'm turning into a "real" card maker!
Hubby keeps telling me I should try to sell some of these cards I've been making to help offset the costs of all my gadgets and I just don't think they've been good enough... but this one... I think I WILL try to sell it... we'll see how that goes!
Before I take that plunge, can anyone offer any helpful tips?
