Just a quickie post

I don't have any pictures to post today, but wanted to pop in and say "Hello!"

My parents are visiting from PA all week and my step-son is staying for the week (he lives in Buffalo with his mom, but visits us a few weeks every year)... he's 16...

So with parents and a teenager, I haven't had much crafty time...

I did manage to convince my mom to sit and make a scrapbook page with me, using the pictures she took of the kids building a snowman... when it's done, I'll post some pics... but she's never done anything "crafty", so it's a real stretch for her (even narrowing down the photo choices was a chore)... she still isn't quite sure she understands why we can't use 7 pictures on one page...

Here's a snippet of our conversation:

me: Well, we could if you didn't print them all 4 x 6, Mom...We could do it with wallet size prints, though...
her: No that's too small, I won't be able to see them...
me: Ok, we'll make it a 2 page layout
her: But I want them all together...
me: {sigh}I'll see what I can come up with!

And that's just picking the PICTURES!! Can you imagine how it went when we got to the part where we picked papers and colors???

And then I had to explain that we needed to make a space to WRITE on... a journal that tells the story...
I suggested using a journal tag tucked behind one of the pictures... she isn't quite sure that we need to do any writing or add a title because it covers the pictures... so then we're back to... if we weren't trying to do one page with seven 4x6 pictures, we'd have room to do the other things....

Welcome to scrapbooking 101...

Any suggestions? LOL!!

LOL! I feel for you: my mom couldn't do scrapping or make a card....no way! LOL!
Good luck! I'm sure she'll figure it out. We all had to start with our silly questions at one point, right?!
