Thinking Spring with The Stamping Boutique

Good morning, bloggy friends!!
Today, a new challenge has started at The Stamping Boutique Challenge Blog
and I have been waiting anxiously to share this card with you!
Image: Daisy Fairy, The Stamping Boutique
The theme for this week's challenge is: Shaped Cards.

I chose to use a scalloped circle shape, which I made from a template from the beautiful Melin of Paper Crafting World! What a terrific file this was to work with! She even included the butterflies, the scrolls, and a flower (which I switched out for daisies today!)... for only $2.50 for entire cutting file set, it's a GREAT deal!!

Those little daisies made me a little nervous, too... the biggest one is .5", then they are incrementally smaller, down to .4" and .3"... I'm still using my Cricut "E" with MTC, and I was so afraid I'd end up with a mangled mess, but remarkably enough, they turned out pretty cute!

The yellow background paper is from K&Co.

What do you think of the "Daisy Fairy"?

She is one of the newest images in the shop at The Stamping Boutique and I love her!!
All the little "black-looking" dots in her dress are actually sparkles from Diamond Stickles, similar to those I used on the butterfly wings...

Something about this card just makes me feel very, very happy and hopeful...

I wanted to take just a second to give a shout out to my friend Jennifer Scull. She has personally received some terrible news from her doctor and is undergoing surgery preparation for next week! On top of that, the school shooting yesterday happened in Chardon, OH, which is where Jennifer lives. When I heard the news yesterday, I immediately thought of her, but thankfully her son was home for the day... but their little town is really struggling with the pain and heartbreak.... Jen, my friend, I am sending you all the positive energy I can spare to help hold you up through what has been a devastating week!!!

The BIG MOMENT has arrived...
the one we have ALL BEEN WAITING  for...
Fresh Brewed Designs FIRST Rubber Stamp Release for 2012!
And we are celebrating with a three day hop,
so you will have until February 27th to get in on the fun!
If you are getting here from Celeste's Blog, then you are right on track.
If not you will need to go back to the start of our hop at the blog of our very own
Fresh Brewed Designs artist and designer, Heather
She also has a lot of fun and useful information for you

We have been so excited about sharing these new stamps with you!
I chose to create with "Crafty Girl" for my project

Image: Crafty Girl Rubber Stamp,
Fresh Brewed Designs

I stamped "Crafty Girl" on white tissue paper and
colored her with Copics. Then transferred her onto this 4" pillar candle.
It's a technique I've seen many times and wanted to give it a try.
Next time, I'll choose to color with bolder colors
so my image looks a little stronger.
In real life, she's clear and bright,
but it's hard to take a flat picture of a round candle!

Heather is having a special deal on the NEW stamps
and other goodies for this release.
You can get this special package for $20
That is a savings of $10!!!
You can only get this package for this price during the hop
{ last day is Feb. 27th}
Find out more about this deal in the shop HERE

It is now time for you to hop on over to the next hop stop
at my friend Rhonda's blog
I am sure you are very eager and excited to see what she has created!
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Have a very HAPPY day!

Glammin It Up, Jellypark Style

The Jellypark Team has really rolled out the red carpet this week!

Unless you've been living under a rock, by now you know that the Oscars are this weekend!

All the glitz and glam of Hollywood!!
MY favorite part of the Oscars?
The Monday after, when they make all the "Best and Worst" Dressed lists!

But in order to make those lists, the ladies and gents
have to get ready for showtime, right?

Well, Claire has created two great new images
that are timed perfectly for this weekend.

I chose to work with the Girlie Dressing Table!

Remember our LIVE Craft n Chat last weekend at
We made these adorable pizza boxes!
What a simple project that has SO much possibility!!

I'm thinking this little box is just right for a little lady's dressing table.
It is the right size to hold a few special treasures!

Our Jellypark Team has really strutted their stuff at the Challenge Blog, too!
The new challenge is: Night at the Oscars!
The theme: create a project based on your favorite flick!

Hop on over to the Jellypark Blog and see if you can
guess the movies are the favorites of our team!!

Jellypark Friends Shades of Love

The new challenge has started at

The challenge theme this week is: Shades of Love!
We are featuring the colors pink, red and purple: use one, two or all three!

Image: Nan and Grandad on Sofa, Jellypark
I just love this "Nan and Grandad on Sofa" digi.
Even though my Grandfather passed away 3 years ago
it still reminds me of him and my Grammy!
They were always SO close and held hands til the end!
Every picture of them together, he would tilt his head toward her,
and this image really brings me so many fond memories!!

I paper-pieced the sofa with papers from DCWV "Sweet" Stack
then cut out the pillows for one layer and
Nan and Grandad for the top layer.
I got a really great deal on the Baker's Twine from

All these different colors of twine, neatly spooled for around $20

If you haven't been by the **NEW** Store, check it out!
I have some Cut Files for sale there and am working on a few more!

Maybe you can see it in the close-up... the brown background paper
has an embossed swirl and the word CHOCOLATE printed on it!!
YUM... what a "Sweet" paper pack!! (-:

Jellypark is one of the many sponsors of the party TODAY at
The Crafter's Cafe!

We have great plans all day ending with a LIVE chat tonight!
We'll be making a SUPER-fun crafty project together
so I hope you'll join us!!
