I chose to create with "Crafty Girl" for my project

I stamped "Crafty Girl" on white tissue paper and 

colored her with Copics. Then transferred her onto this 4" pillar candle.

It's a technique I've seen many times and wanted to give it a try.

Next time, I'll choose to color with bolder colors

so my image looks a little stronger.

In real life, she's clear and bright, 

but it's hard to take a flat picture of a round candle!

Friends in Unexpected Places

When I saw this image from Fresh Brewed Designs,

I just knew I had to have it!

To be completely honest, I really struggled to find

just the right sentiment.

My inner smart alec wanted to do something a little more naughty,

but "cute" won out in the end!

Well, as strange as it may seem, I have truly grown to love

some of the friends I have made online thru the crafting community!

Heather, the awesome artist at FBD is one of those friends!

She amazes me every day with her talent and her kind, generous heart!

I colored the image with my Copics and used some Glossy Accents 

on the fish bowl to make it look shiny!

I used just a little Glossy Accents and actually smeared it around

with my finger to give it the 'fish bowl' look!

The flowers I cut with my Cricut

using a rolled rose SVG file I made.

The papers are from Making Memories.

The tan seam binding is from JLJ Designs.

and I'm sorry for the photo delay...

I have a Kodak Digital camera and every time I push the button to take a picture, it turns itself off and on and goes back to the "reset time and date" screen... has anyone else ever had this problem with a camera?

The battery is fully charged and I can't figure out how to fix it 

without taking it to an (expensive) camera shop!

The Kodak website was no help either...

It's too dark to use my cell phone tonite, so maybe, 

if the sun makes an appearance tomorrow, I can try that, 

but for now, I'm photo-free! 
Silly bugger turned right on this morning and I was able to snap a few shots
before it started the on-off-on-off game...

Maybe Santa will throw a new one under the tree this year! 

I have used the Candyland Winter Tag Digi from The Stamping Boutique

and the Drum from the "Santa's Visit" set from SVGCuts.com

to make this adorable gift for my Secret Santa at The Crafter's Cafe.

She has not received it yet, but I think she'll be happy when she does!

{at least I hope so!!}

It is that time of year again where we spend lots of time with our family and friends.
 We chat more, cook more, laugh, make special holiday memories, 
and us crafters have so many amazing holidays to create for!

This hop has something for every one of these things listed. 
We are celebrating holidays, friendships, and so much more!

I chose to share this image with you.

It is called: "Dressed Up Girl"

There is a long story to this card, but to those who were chatting at our
Fresh Brewed Group at the Crafter's Cafe
I caved in and made a new one... this is the amputee!
I used Digi Papers from JLJ Designs and finally pulled
my treasured craft pin (also from JLJ Designs) out of hiding!
I have been holding this pin for JUST the right card
and when I saw "Dressed Up Girl", it was time!

The silver ribbon is from the Swap Club at TCC
and I used it to make a rolled ribbon rose.
I dressed her up with just a little silver stickles
on the fringe of her dress and her shoes.

This is a VERY special card to me for a lot of reasons
and it's going to a VERY special friend!!
She's worth pulling out ALL my goodies!

I honestly think this is one of the prettiest cards I've ever made!
It all just came together so nicely... first time in awhile!

All of these stamps are created using deeply etched red rubber mounted on an 1/8" cling foam cushion meaning you get a clear impression every time you stamp. 
Each stamp is produced and packaged in the USA.

I think even as we grow, we ladies are still made of sugar and spice and

everything nice, don't you? 

Today we have lots of girlie fun to share with you!

Fresh Brewed Designs has released (today) 7 brand new rubber stamps 

that are perfect for girls of all ages! 

Heather has designed 3 coffee gals to add to the already sassy series. 

These latte lovin' ladies have an extra sprinkle of sweetness. 

Each stamp has a little cherry topped cupcake added to it. 

We are also excited to introduce to you today Cutie Pie!!! 

She is a cute little butterfly fairy 

with a love for adventure who spreads smiles wherever she goes.
