News*
Fresh Brewed Designs has released our first ever card kit! There are only 2 left, and you can read more about it HERE.

You still have ONE week to get in on the FBD Month long Challenge for your chance to win 5 digis! Read more HERE

Have any FBD creations you want to share with us that are or are not used for the challenge? Post them here so we can give you a little extra love :)

Good Morning Coffee Lovers (and those who don't :D) We are so happy that you stopped by to share part of your day with us. We have a fun challenge for you this week. The challenge is called:

COOK IT UP!
Savory or sweet, your favorite treat.
Just show us something you EAT!!!
The FBD Design team has lots of fun goodies to share with you. If you don't have your coffee and a treat in hand, I warn you ... be prepared to resist temptation. You will be tempted :) lol!

So, with that kind of a perky intro, here is my project this week:

I used "Angel Cake Bakes", which you can pick up at the Fresh Brewed Shop.

I wanted to quickly add a shout out to my friend and fellow FBD Design Team member Stacy D. She sent me the most awesome birthday gift last month, just FULL of beautiful stamped images for me to play with ~AND~ one day, I left a comment on her blog asking about a really neat embellie she used on a project.
She send me a whole PACK of samples to play with! It still amazes me how kind and generous the crafting community can be! So, those two eyelets that I used to thread my ribbon thru my card: those are from Stacy D. Thank you, Lady... I LOVE all the goodies you sent!

I hope LOTS of you are cooking up some ideas for this one already!

TSB Challenge and SVGs everyone will want

April Showers Bring May Flowers!
And just like that! I snapped my fingers and we’re already on the THIRD challenge at the Stamping Boutique!
And Audrey sure looks like she could use some flowers to cheer up her rainy day!
Stacie TSB CHallenge 3
This challenge was really a fun one for me and I think you’ll like it too:

Handmade Flowers

There are so many ways to make flowers out of paper!
I’d love to see YOUR handmade flowers!
Come on over to the Challenge Blog at the Stamping Boutique and take a look at all the beautiful flowers we have made for you…
And while you’re there, go ahead and submit YOUR flowers for a chance to win images from The Stamping Boutique!
I made mine using an SVG file I created in Inkscape that is similar to the Dienamics Rolled Rose… I did not “copy” their design, but created a scalloped circle then cut it into wavy swirls. Lots of my friends have used that die and they gush about it, so I wanted to see if I could make something like it without forking out $10.95… I think it looks pretty close… and the advantage to mine: I can cut it any size I want with SCAL or MTC and make different size flowers!
And there’s another SVG goodie today!
See the little display easel my card is resting on? I made that! I see all kinds of different methods of staging cards for ideal photography and most of the best pictures I see, the cards are somehow raised up on some sort of holder. I found a picture of a display easel that is used for decorative plates, traced it in Inkscape, tuned it up a little for cutting with SCAL and there ya go! One sturdy little display stand!
Bonus dealio for my special peeps:
if you enter a project in the Handmade Flowers challenge
and leave a comment below,
I will send you the SVG, SCUT, MTC and JPG file for
the Rolled Roses AND the Display Easel!!
Whatcha waiting for? Get over there and get your projects entered!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Anything Goes Challenges,  Make Your Own Embellishments
Ladybugs Craft Ink TLT, Handmade Flowers
Partytime Tuesday, Anything Goes + Handmade Flowers

FBD Happy Easter Eggs

I did something so fun this week!

I made a Stair Step Card!

For the first time ever!

And it was F-U-N!

Our wonderful Heather, artiste extraordinaire at Fresh Brewed Designs has released an entire set of adorable Easter images!

I got to play with “Happy Easter Eggs”, which you can snag at the shop HERE… in fact, why not grab the set!?

For only $15, you can get 8 images and Heather will throw in 6 FREE sentiments to sweeten the deal! Click here to check it out!

Stacie FBD Easter Stair StepOur challenge this week at the

FRESH BREWED BLOG is

TWO OR MORE EMBELLIES

So, of course I went overboard!

I just had so much fun, I couldn’t help it! All these pieces were cut on my Cricut with SCAL and the “Easter Morning Egg Hunt” Collection from SVGCuts.com. I think EVERYTHING you can see is embossed in one way or another! The peeps are dry embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, then Heat Embossed with Zing Clear Powder, so they’re really shiny! And they’re double-cut and pop-dotted too!

WHEE!! OK, so next time I make this style of card, I will do something about all the white card stock… some pretty papers would probably make a big difference in the background. But hey! It’s my first one! And I had fun, which is really what it’s all about!

I’m going to enter this card into the “Stair Step Challenge” at the Latte Lounge! I’ll look around, because I’m sure there are few other places this one will qualify for this week!

Stacie Stair Step CardDon’t forget! There is still time to play in the Fresh Brewed Month-long Challenge for a chance to win FIVE digis!

AND:

****we now have a place for you to link up all of your creations using a Fresh Brewed Designs image or stamp! Just go here any time during the month and use ANY card you have posted using a FBD image. It does not have to be for a challenge!

YOU may be our next guest designer for a hop or a featured designer.******* only one entrant so far! Show us your cards ladies!!! We will be choosing designers soon!!!

Up Up and Away

Have I told ya’ll how much I LOVE being a part of the MyGrafico Team lately? I tell ya, they are the greatest group of ladies… they’re all so very talented and so friendly and so many times, I just smile when I think about some of the things they’ve said! Really a FUN place to be!!

And… the bonus for me: EVERY challenge is ANYTHING GOES!

For me, that’s a “Free-for-all” and I take full advantage!!

So, this week, our featured product is a set from Sanqunetti Designs called “Up Up and Away”.

Here is a picture of a project I made using this great set:

Stacie G Up and Away

Entering the challenge at MyGrafico is so easy!!

The Linky is at the top of the page!!

All you have to do is make sure you link your project to your actual blog post (not your main blog home page) and link back to MG … there are 4 winners a month and a DT Favorite.

It’s a Color Challenge at Kaboodle Doodles!

Stacie WinkWink wk 59

I was so sad to read the news about MTC and Cricut! I am not in a position to buy a new cutter, so I will have to use the version I have currently or risk losing it altogether if I update… thankfully, SCAL is still an option. Without those programs, I would not have been able to make this cute, cute Easter Basket!

And that would’ve been a bummer!

The basket is an SVG file from SVG Cuts.com. There is a little slit in the handle, so it can be used as a placecard holder. It only took about 5 minutes to make this little cutie and it’s just the right size for one Easter egg! How FUN to do an Easter egg hunt with these little guys!

The image I used around the border of the basket is called ‘Chick Border” from Wink Wink Ink.

Here’s a better picture of the image: Stacie Wink Wink Close Up

Wink Wink Ink is sponsoring the newest challenge at

the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog this week!

The challenge is:

Yellow, Green, Pink and Blue

and the prize is: a $15 Wink Wink Gift Certificate!

I’ll Take Mine to Go, Fresh Brewed Style

FBD Polka dots

There is such a wide variety of rubber stamps available from Fresh Brewed Designs that it is sometimes difficult to choose just one!

I finally decided to use “I’ll Take Mine To Go” for this week’s project.

Our challenge theme this week is:

POLKA DOTS

I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and cut out the frame from the LD Banner Days SVG set, which is a FREEBIE this month! The white oval is embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. The sentiment tag is from Chris at Mudmaven Designs. A little dotting with a white gel pen, a little polka dot ribbon and bow and this chick’s ready to go!

For some reason I can’t explain, this card seemed to take me forever to get done! I have had a million outside distractions this week and can’t seem to get anything done! Seems like every time I sit down at my desk and try to get started, the phone rings or some other “crisis” just can’t wait! I think there is a spring on my bottom, after all the times I’ve jumped up and down out of my seat this week!

I just keep thinking: “Who are these children and why do they keep calling me ‘Mom’?” I saw that on a T-shirt one day and thought it was so funny! It’s now becoming my Mantra! Just kidding

So I hope you like my card, since I went to so much trouble getting it done! Rolling on the floor laughing

And I really hope you’ll join us for this fun Polka Dots challenge this week!

Before you go, here’s a little bit of Fresh Brewed News:

It’s hard to see in the photo, but the top white panel is embossed with a Fiskar’s “Butterflies” Plate. The blue paper is from Bearly Mine Designs and the textured paper for the paper-pieced butterfly is from Floppe Latte Designs. I am so totally loving the Digital Papers that are available now. My biggest challenge is always matching DP's and with Digi Printable Papers, the work is already done... print, cut, GO! LOVE THAT! The chipboard brackets were in my drawer, so I don’t remember where I got them!

Scrappin' With Digis and and Important Update

OK, maybe my title is backwards, because
I'm going to give you the update first!
Today is Friday!
Usually that means I would be posting my project for
the Digis with Attitude! Challenge!
As you can plainly see, I haven't done that!

The reason?
Cindy-Lynn, the owner of Digis with Attitude! announced Tuesday
that the DWA challenge blog is closed, effective immediately
Yeah! I'm shocked too!!

SO! While that door closed, another quickly opened!
I was invited to be a member of the team at MyGrafico
and had been contemplating it!
With the new gap in my schedule, it was the perfect opportunity!
So I am pleased to announce
my new position with the MyGrafico Team!
Several new members have joined our team
and there will be a "formal" announcement Monday!
I'm really looking forward to working with these ladies!
They are a warm, welcoming and fun group
and I have worked with products from several of their artists
and love them!
So this may just be a match made in Heaven!

And my other news today!

YES!! I was featured in The Journal,
the newsletter of The Stamping Boutique!
If you haven't signed up yet to receive our weekly newsletter,
go ahead and do that right now: HERE'S THE LINK
I'll wait, just hurry back!
This week, you get to learn ALL about me!
Doesn't that make you just want to RUN! (-:

Every week, there is a FREE, brand new TSB image released!
The image this week is called "Pocket Patootie Bunny"

I used him to make a scrapbook page!
It's been a long time since I felt the "urge" to make a page,
but this image just made me think of Easter Egg Hunting
and I remembered these pictures I had the THE box!
You know THE box... the one FULL of pictures to be scrapped!
These pictures are from Easter 2002!
Tomorrow, the little one on the left will be 10!!

The pocket in the top left corner is actually
a real piece of my little guy's pants!
Yes, I suppose I AM a hoarder!
I have clothes from 2002, sitting in "Space Saver Bags" in the closet!
I pulled out these shorts and remembered that day, clear as a bell!

So, who's jealous!?!
This picture was taken EASTER weekend!
See the leaves under the trees!?!
NO SNOW!!!
Mwah-ha-ha-ha... {{evil laughter}}

I cut off the pocket, put it on my page, and put the Journal Tag inside
(yes, the pocket opens, the tag is inside)!
Cute, right?

All the eggs and other Easter-theme cuts are from the
"Easter Morning Egg Hunt" collection from SVG Cuts.com

Here's a closeup of the Pocket Patootie:
I colored him with Paint.NET and used a denim texture to "fill" his pocket!

Yeah... I'm a little behind scrapping...
I'm feeling motivated!

Hope you come back to visit soon!
Look for more pages, coming to a theater near you!
