I'm a Ninja Shopper Hyped up on Caffeine

Image: Latta Ninja, Fresh Brewed Designs
OK. Be honest. Do you stand in lines at midnight
to catch all the great sales on Black Friday?
I don't! I have no interest in wrestling with other shoppers and getting trampled in doorways
and standing in checkout lines for hours! No thank you!
I don't think I've even been IN a mall in the past 5 years!

I'm a Ninja Shopper!
I do ALL my shopping in stealth mode, online, at home, in my pajamas.
And the UPS guys (AKA Santa's Helpers) are oh, so ready to help...
they even know the secret hiding places when I'm not there for delivery!

So, when I found out that the challenge this week at Fresh Brewed Designs is:
BLACK, for Black Friday,
my mind immediately turned to the Latte Ninja and thoughts of shopping!

And speaking of shopping, it's a GREAT time to head over to

Select Digis are on sale 20% off
including:
Girly things: Emma
Girly things: just us girls
Holidays: Fall / Thanksgiving
Holidays: Snow buddies
Holidays: Jesus is the Reason
All Cutie Pie Rubber Stamps are on sale for 25% off
There's still time to enter to win the Customer Appreciation Blog candy!!!
Stop by the blog and read THIS POST
for more details on how to win!

Giving Thanks with Audrey (and four OTHER TSB images)

Today, the new challenge starts at
Our theme is
THANKSGIVING

Because my post is going up a little late, I will just say that I have used FIVE images from
The Stamping Boutique for this card:

1. Pumpkin Pie:

It's a little hard to tell in this photo, but the white background behind Audrey, I scored the paper to look like wainscoting and it is REALLY cute!!
I'll go into a little more detail later and plan to enter this little cutie into several challenges!!

My DT Team-mates have called me an "over-achiever", but you should go over to the Challenge Blog and see THEIR projects... I'm just trying to keep up with all the talent!!

Just a quick reminder, there's a very good chance YOU could win any one of the five digis I used,
or a variety of other GREAT prizes...
just join us for the OPEN HOUSE at The Crafter's Cafe
the week between Christmas and New Years...
we'll be there, getting away for all the Holiday Hustle
and have LOTS of fun games and challenges planned!!!

See you soon!!
Stacie

Here are a few challenges I found at Feline Playful:

The Pink Elephant, Giving Thanks, boy if they could have called it "Giving Pies",  I'd be all set, since Audrey has 3 pies to share!

iCopic, I just found this community, but they have some great tutorials and inspiration, so I'm sure I'll be spending a lot more time there. Their challenge this week is "Thanksgiving".

MyGrafico, Dinner/Cleaning: My Little Audrey sure does have a pretty clean kitchen set-up  with all her utensils close-at-hand.

Itty Bitty Snowman

Today is the beginning of a new challenge at The Crafter's Cafe.
We have an awesome sketch for you today and it was drawn by our very own Aletha!

I am so excited to show you my sample card for this sketch!
This is the first time I have been able to use my new "Roly Poly Warm Wishes" stamp from Itty Bitty by Unity and I think he turned out SO very cute!!

He was drawn by my very good friend and mentor, Tracey Malnofski and I just LOVE him!!
I colored him with some Copic markers and Spica Glitter pen(for the ornaments), then used some Stickles and Creative Inspirations Fairy Dust paint on the snow for a little sparkle.

The background paper is my own creation, from some Snowflake SVG's and some "homemade" Shimmer Mist (hair spray mixed with Pearl Ex)... I cut out the flakes from scrap card stock, laid them out on the paper, then spritzed away...

Here's a better shot of how shimmery it is:

The snowflake SVG's came from Jani, who runs her own blog: Paper Compulsions, her own Etsy Store and a challenge blog called "Cuttin' Up With Class". She also has a Group at The Crafter's Cafe! Talk about a busy lady... AND she makes (and gives away) LOTS of great cut files for die cutters!

This set of snowflakes, which isn't yet available in her Etsy store (but soon will be, I'm told), cuts BEAUTIFULLY!!!!! The top strip is 6 snowflakes welded together and cut at 1" tall and just LOOK at the detail!!

When I cut out small, detailed, intricate patterns with  my Cricut, I always have one hand on the Pause button, prepared for it to start mangling the paper... with these snowflakes... zip, zip, zip... cut like a dream!

I sure do hope you feel inspired to try out this terrific sketch and join us at
You can win one of THREE awesome prizes!!!
Our Sponsors this week are:

DtsArt-Prize: 2 digis or 2 SVGs or 1 of each
and Glitterbabe-Prize: $10 gift certificate

Make My Monday, Flowers, Foliage or Snowflakes
Paper Creations Ink, Christmas Theme

Slide Album: My SVG Files

While trying to add a few files to my Slide.com slideshow,
I was surprised to discover that "Slide" will be shutting down in March.
There is an option to "export" my slideshow to Picassa Web, so that is what I have done.
I'm not sure how this will display on my blog, but for now, until I find another way to share the photos of the SVG, MTC, SCAL files I have shared, I will use this format and see how it goes.

While we're in "practice" mode figuring this out,
here is the link to all the files I have shared at Box.net:

**EDITED TO ADD***

Over the past 4 days, the files I have shared have been downloaded 218 times, and yet, there are only TWO comments on this post ??!!
WOW!!
I always thought is was a simple common courtesy to say "THANK YOU"...

and my mom has passed down some of her favorite recipes!
When we moved, I found all these little slips of paper
with recipes jotted down on them.
In order to preserve them for the future generations,
I decided to make a notebook for them!

Sweet as Pie Rubber Stamp from Fresh Brewed Designs
It looks fabulous in my head, but didn't turn out
quite the way I had envisioned...
But now I have a place for Grammy's recipes

Freestyle TSB Hop

Hi! I'm so happy you stopped by!

You should have arrived here from the AMAZING MIRANDA'S BLOG!
I don't know how I got to be the lucky one to follow her,
but I hope you're enjoying your Hop!

Just for stopping by to visit today,
you can enter for a chance to win an image from TSB
just by leaving me a comment to let me know you were here!!

It has been an AMAZING first month from the new TSB design team gals, I don't know about you all but these ladies blow me away daily with their projects. So we thought let's have a "Freestyle Blog Hop" to show off those talents. What is a "Freestyle Hop" you may ask? Well we were given free reign to create any project we would like using any TSB image...

I chose to use Smoochie the Elf,
which you can find in the "Smoochies" section

The gold dots are actually supposed to be "jingle bells",
but they don't look like it in this picture.... (?)
I'm just thankful I finally got a decent picture
of this adorable little guy!
It's been a battle with the camera all day!

The background presents and red paper
Digital Scrapbooking Kit!

Someday, it's possible, I might actually learn how
to do digi-scrapping, but for now,
I just love the JLJ Designs papers and designs
for printing the "old-fashioned" way!

I can't remember where I got the "Ho Ho Ho"
It's a metal "thing" that I had to set using my hammer!
That was fun! (-:

This hop starts today, November 11th (12:01 am CST) and will run all weekend ending on Sunday, November 13th (11:59 pm CST)
to allow you plenty of time to hop.

Now with any hop there has to be some prizes along the way right?
Well this hop is no exception!!
You will want to make sure to visit each design team member's blog
and leave a comment as each one of us will be giving away one TSB image!

If that isn't enough to entice you to hop with us, well maybe this will-

1 random person (who comments on all DT blogs
and leaves a comment at the Stamping Boutique Blog at the end)
will be selected to win
the entire set of our newest line of images called the Smoochies.

HOLY MOLY, now that is a great prize as there are
11 images in the line currently!!!
You can see the Smoochies HERE!

So are you ready to hop?

Well the hop started with Christy over at her blog Christy's Zaney Creations
so go on over and see what she has in store for you!

You'll need to go see what Melissa has created for you next!
I can guarantee you'll be glad you did!!

Below is your hop order in case you get lost along the way:

TSB Challenge Blog-http://thestampingboutiquechallengeblog.blogspot.com/<---- Final Stop

Thank you in advance for hopping and

Good Luck, we hope to inspire you along the way!

Challenges:
Do You Stack Up: Inspired by a Song.
well, of course, my song is "Jingle Bells". I actually caught myself singing it while coloring!
well, with the green glitter paper background and glitter on all my jingle bells, we have definitely achieved FULL sparkle! (-:

08 November 2011

OK. I've waiting long enough

I have been waiting and waiting to show you this ADORABLE little guy
and the day is finally here!

I'm so excited to introduce you to "Smoochie Baby Boy" from
The Stamping Boutique

He's one of the Brand New "Smoochies" that you will find HERE in the TSB Store

The new challenge at The Stamping Boutique Challenge Blog is starting today
and the theme is "Home of the Brave" to celebrate our military for Veteran's Day!

When I saw Smoochie Baby Boy, I was thinking, this would be a perfect card for a Military Mom.
We all think of soldiers as big, strong men who are out there fighting for our freedom.
But there are LOTS of WOMEN and MOTHERS in the military and this one's for THEM!

I cut the Home Plate card shape with my Cricut E and MTC (a basic pentagon).
The sentiment is a combo of two fonts:
Marcelle and Porn Star Academy (yes, that is the correct font name, isn't it awful??)

There seem to be a bunch of challenges at Feline Playful that this guy will fit:
Craft Your Passion, Anything Goes PLUS Brown
Daisy Doodles, Anything Goes with a Digi
Squigglefly, No Patterned Paper
2 Sisters, Use Ribbon
Allsorts, Anything but Square
Color Me Creative Copic Challenge Group, Boys, Boys, Boys
My Sheri Crafts, All About Sports
Crafty Catz, Anything Goes
The Poodles Parlour, Let's Hear it For the Boys
4 Crafty Chicks, Die Cuts
The Culture Shock Challenge, Batman. I don't know, when I think of Batman, I think of Bat Boy and Bat Girl... and this sure is a CUTE bat boy, right?
