A Black and Turquise Garden Party
This one is being hosted by Melissa and our sponsor is JLJ Designs!
Our team was provided with the most marvelous set of Digi Papers to play with and this is how I chose to use them!
The challenge theme is a color combo:
Cute and Sweet!
Her name is "Daisy's Cupcake" and she just joined the family this week!
And just in time, too!
Our new challenge at the Fresh Brewed Challenges Blog is our Monthly Prize challenge and the theme for the month is
I entered to win a blog candy at Through Emily's Eyes and there was a lovely picture of a big pile of crafty goodness... but, when the package arrived, it weighed more than 20 pounds... do you have any idea how many supplies you have to put into a box to get to 20 pounds?? It was an unbelievable blessing to me and I appreciate it so much!! THANK YOU EMILY!! And talk about eye candy!! Take a look around Emily's blog... good stuff!

Is it really baking?
Oh, I don’t suppose so!
So, I can’t really say I’m baking, but we sure are cookin’ over at The Stamping Boutique challenge blog!
We are already on Challenge #4 and it’s a good one!

Here is my project:
I used one of the brand new images in the shop called:
Birthday Fairy
For some reason, when I tried to resize my picture to make it a manageable file size to upload to Blogger, the “Auto Color” thing kept adjusting my colors… while it really brightened up my Prismacolors on the image, it made the cupcake in the top corner look dark and silly against that light paper, and the light pink glitter on the letters looks almost RED… GRRRR!
Blogger and I just haven’t been getting along very well this week!
In real life, the cupcake is a soft, pink color and looks MUCH prettier … and the pink “sweet” is just shimmery and, well, sweet… I’m sorry I can’t show you in this picture!!
But what I can do is tell you that there’s a good chance you will win images from The Stamping Boutique if you play along in this color challenge! But only if you enter!
And: another reminder:
Digi Day is this Saturday at the Latte Lounge!

See you there!!

Rassin’ Frassin’ Mumble Grumble
Hello! Long time no see!
I had this post scheduled for this morning, but it did not go up as planned… in fact, I had two separate posts…
C’est la vie! Once again Blogger wins!
The first post this morning was for the new Monday Feature at MyGrafico.
We had the pleasure of working with this set of images from Cheri Wenger:
I found the coolest creative blog called “Crafty Blonde” over the weekend and some of her tutorial videos and cut files are the best I’ve seen! I grabbed her “Lacey trim egg shaped cards” file from THIS post and colored one of Cheri Wenger’s bunnies with Paint.NET.
Here’s the end result:
I cut the file on my Cricut Expression with SCAL, using cheap Georgia Pacific cardstock. Then spritzed it with my “home made” glimmer mist, using “Interference Violet” PearlEx. The yellow panel is embossed with the Sizzix Paisley folder. The double bow was made with my Crafters’ Companion bow maker! The display easel is from the SVG file I shared last week!
I really do love everything about this card!
The second part of my post today is a reminder to play in the challenges at the Latte Lounge!
There is still one week to join in Jen’s Coffee and Cream Challenge!
The challenge is being sponsored by Fresh Brewed Designs!
Heather generously provided a terrific image for this challenge and here is a card I made:
I used Prismacolor Pencils to color, the patterned paper is DCWV and the sentiment is a rub-on I got from my friend Melissa for my birthday!
Only one other thing I’d like to mention!
This Saturday, we are having a Digi Day at the Latte Lounge!
If you have never attended one of our Digi Day events, you’re really missing out on a good time!
And if you have joined us, you KNOW how much fun it will be!!
Hope to see you there!
