Pop Star 'Tweens Have Arrived

Digis With Attitude! Camping 'Tween

The newest Digis With Attitude! 'Tweens have arrived!!

Our very first BOY 'tween, Bieber Boy is rocking out with Britney this week and you can pick them up in the store today!

And our monthly freebie is Shopping 'Tween!

Pop over HERE and grab her today!!

In fact, it would a great time to pick up a Digis With Attitude! FREEBIE and play along in our challenge this week!

It's a challenging one, that's for sure!!

We're looking for a "how you do it" challenge... and what we want to know is:

Originally, the challenge was "Make it 'Poofy' " but after some discussion with our neighbors across the pond, we figured that wasn't exactly what we were looking for!
Does anyone know what it means in Europe to call someone "poofy"?
THAT is not the challenge!!

The challenge is to make it PUFFY! Y'know, fluffy... airy... cushy... but not poofy!

We are so happy to be sponsored by
Stamping Dragon Designs
this week!

And they have generously offered the winner a
$10 Shopping Spree at their store!!

WOW! That is a GREAT prize... worth playing for!!

For my project, I used "Camping 'Tween" and digital papers from Stamping Dragon Designs that I distressed using plain 'ole scissors!

I followed a sketch from the Sketch n Stash Challenge #54
If you follow me, you may recognize the swirls in the corners.
I shared the SVG file for them the other day.

For this project, I cut them in white and used Pearl Ex Copper to color them. It's tough to see from the photo, but the coppery shimmer looks pretty cool up close!

For the "Puffy" part, I used a product I found in the kid's crafting section at Walmart called "Puffy Paint"... it is designed to paint on clothes, I guess, but it worked out just fine here! I used yellow puffy paint for the fire, white for the marshmallow and purple for her sweater!
There are also 10 layers to this card! Then the image is cut and mounted on pop dots...

That's as puffy as I can get!

Can't wait to see how YOU make it puffy!
Come over and play to win $10 from Stamping Dragon Designs!!

Inspiration Challenge and Stylish Award

There is always something new going on at The Latte Lounge.
There are challenges, groups, discussions, galleries, gift exchanges, chats, and all kinds of fun!

The newest challenge is being hosted by Jennifer, from JLJ Designs.
I LOVE the concept behind this challenge!

We have all been inspired by things we have seen and read online and the entire challenge is based on using that inspiration to create!

This is my inspiration project!
I went back thru my blog to the very beginning, last year, and this was the FIRST time I had ever heard of "Nesties", seen paper-piecing, heard about pop-dots, and was truly inspired by anyone!
This card was made by Donna Mundinger for her Daddy, who had recently passed...

Something about this post and this card really struck a chord with me and I will never forget the impact I felt that day!

And here is my interpretation of her project.
I used the brand new "The Stamping Boutique" image "Rabbit in an Egg" that is FREE for all new members of the Stamping Boutique Group on SNR

I love the soft pink and yellow and CASE-ing Donna's work was more challenging than you would think! There are LOTS of layers here, and measuring and calculating was pretty time-consuming, but well worth it! I LOVE how this turned out and wish I could say I "designed" it myself... alas... maybe someday! (-:

And on to other news from The Latter Lounge! Here are the other two challenges that are currently running:

Rhonda's "Valentine's with Glitter and Bling" Challenge will be running til the 17th! With all the Valentine's projects out there, this one should be easy-peasey!

"Cheerfully Choosing Challenges" Challenge: to post one project into as many challenges as you can. Right now, we have one person who has entered a card into 59 challenges! Yep! You read that correctly: FIFTY-NINE!! Can you say: "WOW!?!"

I have received a new blog award!
I actually have received it from two of my online friends.
Thank you:
Dardi and

The trick to receiving this award is to share 8 things about myself and to pass it along to 8 Stylish Bloggers. OK, about me:

1. It's funny that I received a "Style" award. I walk thru the mall and look at clothes that are "in style" and think, no way am I wearing that!
2. I looked at the Billboard Top 10 and didn't know any of the artists!
3. I'm a reality TV junkie! Survivor comes back next week! Hooray!!
4. I have a serious caffeine addiction and get headaches without coffee.
5. In real life, I have about 5 friends. Online I've made dozens! Funny how we build relationships with people we never meet!
6. My "style" tends to be a mix of what I can create with my Cricut and a vast variety of images and techniques I've learned from above-mentioned friends.
7. I thrive on feedback. Good or bad, I LOVE to read comments!
8. I have always had furr-babies. I can't remember a time in my life I haven't had at least one cat or dog and currently have 2 of each!

And the eight friends I would like to share this award with:

  1. Tammy: OBX Stamping and Crafting
  2. Collette: Heaven Sent for You
  3. Michelle: Caffeine and Stamps
  4. Sara: Creative Addictions by Sara
  5. Rhonda: Rhonda's Place to Share
  6. Melissa: Melissa's Creative Place
  7. Jennifer: JLJ Designs
  8. Heather: Heather's Coffee Break
I know that some of you have already received this award, and I agree with those who beat me to it!! But all of you have inspired me in one way or another and I wanted to let you know, without getting all mushy-mush!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day and I'll be back tomorrow with a brand new Digis with Attitude! image you will want to see!

Til then...

Two New SVG files

For this week's Fresh Brewed Designs post, please click HERE!

I've been working on a few files in Inkscape for some projects I'm planning for later this week.

It's been a long time since I've added anything to my Box.net account, so I decided to share two files I made this week.

The first is a simple corner flourish:

When you download my files, they are zipped.
In the zip file, there is:
an SVG
a .jpeg image
an SCUT2 file for Sure Cuts a Lot and
an MTC file for Make the Cut

The second file I'm sharing took me a LONG time to figure out!!

Sorry for the messy mat... it's my work area...

In order to cut the Compass Rose in two tones without making the pieces overly complex and difficult to put back together!
I ended up with 4 main pieces for the two layers of the compass rose.
Then I added layered circles for the background.
You'll need these layers to put it together to make it a little more "sturdy"... I had to use my "pokey thing" to move the pieces exactly where I wanted them, then glued it onto the circle and put a brad thru AFTER it was mounted on the circle.
If you try to put in the brad before mounting it, you'll rip apart the top layer!
(trust me, I'm speaking from experience) (-:

In the SCAL and MTC files, I use the "Pages" tabs,
so when you open the files, there are different "Pages" for different elements or versions of the file. For example, the main compass rose is on the first page. It will cut on one 12 x 12 paper. (I used all white paper, then inked the blue parts...) The needle and letters are on a separate page. And on the third page, I made a simple, two-piece version that doesn't have the "two-tone" look.

If you have any questions or problems with any of my files, please let me know!

And I'd LOVE to see anything you have made using them!!

Fresh Brewed Designs that are Oh! So Charming!

Fresh Brewed Designs is going to be the SPOTLIGHT in the June/July edition of Ready Set Create! Woot! Woot!

This weeks challenge at Fresh Brewed Designs is a
JUST FOR FUN challenge,
the prizes will be given monthly from now on!

You CAN combine any challenge for the month
with the prize challenge and link them to both :)

Our Challenge for You this week is

Oh So Charming!

Use a Charm on your card / project

For my project, I chose the "Sweet on You" digi
from the "Fun Foods Collection" at the
Fresh Brewed Store.
I colored my image with Paint.NET
(which is getting addictive!)
and used Glossy Accents
on my sundae dish and chocolate syrup!
YUM!!

The challenge this week is to "Use a Charm".
The only charms I could find in my stash
just wouldn't work.
If you're a regular follower, you might remember that last year we had our home broken into and robbed. Everything that was jewelry-related was stolen! So my charm "stash" is LONG gone...

So! Easy enough!
I just MADE one!
With "Doodlecharms" and my Cricut!
I've been making so many things in MTC it's been awhile since I actually broke out a real Cricut cartridge! It was fun!
I cut it in several layers to make it nice and thick and coated it in Modge Podge to seal it... up close, it's really pretty cute!

Remember, Fresh Brewed Designs is VERY active on several forums, including:

There are great challenges posted over there, so pop in and check us out!

And the
is still available for a few days!
Better hurry and grab this month's freebie
before it's gone!

Craft your Passion, Anything Goes
Blog a Doodle, Valentine's and/or/Love

Claudia and Co., Colors Pink, Blue & Brown

Kaboodle Doodles, sponsored by The Stamping Boutique

Break out that Ribbon Stash!

This is the Challenge at Kaboodle Doodles this week!

and we are so pleased to be sponsored by

The Kaboodle Doodles team chose a VARIETY of
Stamping Boutique images this week,
so pop on over and show them some love!!

I chose "Mail Girl".
You can grab her HERE.
I can't explain why my dark blue
base card looks gray and grungy!
Must've been the one operating the camera! (me!)

In real life, this card looks pretty cute!
I was cleaning out my ribbon bin the other day
and found a nice long piece of white from somewhere...
Looped it around a pencil and hot glued it down...
made a cute little bow with the end of the tail
and that's one piece in the stash
not going to waste!

It's always a good idea to occasionally take a peek
into the bins and boxes...
it's amazing how many things we manage to
"stash" away, thinking, "Oh, I'll use that later"...

Those piles pile up!

So it's a great time to take a wander
thru your ribbon stash
and play along with us this week
