Celebrating William and Kate Fresh Brewed Style

This is how my day got started this morning:

How am I supposed to function with no internet?

Now that it appears to have fixed itself...

Here's today's Fresh Brewed Designs Update:

We are starting off with some reminders:
Today is the last challenge for April.
That also means you only one week left to participate in the
Month Long Prize Challenge for April!

Friday we are releasing the next set of
Freshly Brewed Rubba
with a PARTY!
We are having a party at The Latte Lounge:
The party will be where we have
prizes, challenges and release the stamps.

Also, our DT will showcase lovely projects
and more at the
Blog hop May 4-7

Save the dates!!!
Hope to see you there!
MOCHA MANIC MONDAY is this coming Monday, May 2!
Don't forget to stop in and check out the shop for your freebie!!!

Now it is time for this weeks Freshly Brewed Challenge.

We hope you will celebrate this week with us and the world
as we focus on all things wedding themed
in honor of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middelton ...

Heather has created three new digital stamps for this challenge.
They can be found in the Fresh Brewed Designs shop HERE

I have used the BRAND NEW "Just Married Sign"
for my project today!

I printed the image twice, once on DP and once on white.
Colored and cut the banner, bells and daisy out of the white
and paper-pieced it on the Colorbok DP.

I love these little rosettes and how they add so much
to a card without making it too thick or bulky.

I don't remember where I got the cut file for this one,
but it's basically an 11" strip, about 2" wide.
You could even cut it with pinking shears or any other pattern.
Zig-zag fold and glue the ends.
Push down the middle and stick it to a circle on the bottom.
Add a little topper and voila... just right!

The Fresh Brewed Crew has made some
great cards for inspiration this week!
You'll want to pop on over and see all the ways
we have used Heather's new stamps!

We are looking forward to seeing all your Wedding Cards

Winged Things and other ways to win TSB Prizes

First of all, I have to remind you of all the great chances you have
to win prizes from The Stamping Boutique!

The Royal Wedding Event at SNR challenge entries are due this Friday!
There are chances to win Red Rubber Stamps
and a $20 Gift Certificate from The Stamping Boutique.

"Something for My BFF"
is ending this weekend!
We're working on setting up our events for May at "The Lounge
and if you're not already a member,
it's a good time to get in on the fun we're having!

ends in a few days!
That's an easy one! Post ANY project you've made with TSB products
and enter as many times as you can!

That's the "old" news!
Here's what's new!

Two weeks ago we started our Color Challenge
and we received 18 wonderful entries.
Choosing the Top 3 is going to be tough!! I'm glad I don't have to do it!

Since that challenge has ended, it's time for a new one to begin!
Based on my photo, can you guess the theme of the NEW

I'll give you a hint: it can be fairies, butterflies, ummm... peacocks?

Yep! The New Challenge is
And in Tracey's massive collection at TSB
you're sure to find some marvelous choices!

Tracey has been cranking out new images like a machine for us

and I completely fell in love with this one!
His name is "Paisley Peacock" and you can grab him at the shop HERE
I love how she put the word "Art" on his wing
and the tilt of his head and the amazingly detailed tiny images
in each of his tail feathers! WOW!

I colored him with Prismacolor pencils
and added Glossy Accents to "Accent" some parts.
I created the Paisley shaped card using Inkscape
and cut it with my Cricut and SCAL.
The scalloped background and the flowers and vine
are all misted with my PearlEx spray.

What?!!? You don't have any images from The Stamping Boutique?

Well then, you'll definitely want to play in this challenge for a chance to win some!

The Royal Wedding Event at SNR

Today is the Third Day of FREEBIES at our Group at the SNR/Card Universe Site.

Today's FREEBIE is "Audrey the Bride" and she's only available TODAY, so hurry over to our Group Page and GRAB her before she's gone!

With our THIRD day and our THIRD FREEBIE we're also having a THIRD challenge: Use the Royal Colours: Red, White and Blue!

I finally got a chance to play with the FIRST freebie, that was offered Friday: "The Wedding Chapel". The challenge is to "Create Your Own Background".

I think this is quite possibly the "Sparkle-iest" card I have ever made! I put Versamark Ink on my Sizzix Diamonds embossing folder then embossed my background card stock. While the ink was still wet, I added Gold embossing powder and shook it off and heat embossed it! In real life, it is so sparkly and rich-looking!

The image is "The Wedding Chapel" from The Stamping Boutique. After I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and cut it out, I sprayed it with my "Home-made" Shiimmer Mist using Gold Pearl Ex.

I cut the square frame out of my base with my Nesties, then flipped the cutout piece to back the iamge.

The sentiment is a stamp from a variety pack I bought a long time ago. The tag and bells were cut in SCAL. With all the noise about MTC lately, I have been using my SCAL more often and I still love it! MTC is great for all it's features, but SCAL has a special place for me too!

For such a simple card, it seems like this one took a long time to put together. I think it was all the embossing...

I am going to upload this card
and I hope to see more entries
getting posted soon!

Tracey has graciously offered
a ton of TERRIFIC prizes
including RUBBER STAMPS
and a $20 Gift Certificate...
it would just be silly to miss out
on chance at such great prizes!!

By the way, I found the greatest site the other day, from another Blogger friend.
It's called "Stamping Vacation"! They have several monthly challenges and you can enter as many times as you like. All the entries are entered into a drawing at the end of the month for a Gift Certificate.
They have a bunch of challenges right now that I plan to play in, but  for this card, I'd like to enter it in their:

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter!!

Hope the Easter Bunny was generous with the chocolate!

TSB Bunny

This week the Stamping Boutique is sponsoring Creative Inspirations and the challenge is simply to create anything digi. I couldn’t resist making just ONE more card with this adorable “Rabbit in Egg” image from The Stamping Boutique before it’s time to put her away for the season!

I used the o9 Cut Ups Font from Kay (cleversomeday) for the pocket. With all the cut files flying around the net, I so often forget about the basics I already have in my files and this font is a perfect example of that! There is just about every frame shape you can possibly want or need, all organized into one file… and yet, I continue looking for new places to get cut files and try all the latest and greatest! Sometimes, it’s just easier to stick with the basics!

I laced the embroidery thread thru the holes, added a little piece of ribbon for the tag and some little die cuts from ??? to finish it off!

Ain’t she cute?

Paper Pleating with Digi's With Attitude!

Challenge #23: Theme Challenge - Asian

Sometimes, I look at a card I've made and it really makes me happy!
This is one of those cards!
I LOVE this one!
I think it's one of my best in awhile! (-:

I used the brand new Tween With Attitude! "Geisha Tween"
I colored her hair with Prismacolor Pencils and I have to say, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.
Our DT had some discussion about coloring black hair and
when I saw the challenge at Make it Crafty this week is coloring black hair,
I watched the tutorial on Zoe's site and it was so easy
to get that "shiny" look!
Thank you for putting that tut together!

I also used white over her entire face to give her a "real' Geisha look!
The symbol in the corner is Japanese for "Spring".
I meant to add the English translation in a tag on the front,
but, alas, I forgot... and I didn't want to take away from the "look" of this card.

I used avscalloped SVG border file for the paper pleating and
the "Cherry Blossoms" are from SVGCuts.com

I don't remember where the papers came from, but they  just looked so Oriental, it seemed perfect, to me!

The ladies at Gingersnap Creations are asking to see Geisha Creations for their challenge this month.
I definitely want to enter this lovely lady for a chance to win!

It is not required you use a Digi's With Attitude! image however,
we always love to see what you do with our digis *grin*

As long as your project has an "Asian Theme" you are good to go!
See our challenge guidelines here

Challenge #22 winners will be posted this Monday

Our sponsors this week are:

Winners (one for every 25 entries) will receive

and

One random winner will receive 2 Digital Paper Packs of their choice!

MyGrafico Monday Feature: Stockberry Studio

This week at MyGrafico we are featuring an adorable set of digis from Stockberry Studio called "Stick Figure Easter Digital Stamps". You can grab the set HERE!
I chose to use bright and cheerful colors and papers. The MyGrafico DT has created some really inspirational projects with these images!
You have to jump over to the challenge blog to check them out!
The challenge at MyGrafico runs all month and anyone can enter! The challenge them is ALWAYS "Anything Goes" and there are some terrific entries so far this month! Will yours be next?

Altogether, there are 10 images in the set! For only $4, it's a great value!

My little boy AJ saw my card and wanted to use a similar style for his entry in the Kid's Challenge at the Latte Lounge!

Here's AJ's project:

I am totally amazed with how far along he has come. He actually figured out how to make an easel card (he's 10 years old)! He used papers from the same pack I used and colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils. He also used the Bow Maker on my Crafter's Companion to tie the ribbon. And he liked how my dress was paper pieced, so I taught him how to do that this weekend!

You might recognize the flowers... I made them for my Fresh Brewed Designs card last week. He watched and decided to make his own. They are SO easy to make and they look PERFECT on his card!

Truth be told, I think his card this week is better than mine!!
